I Sent An Email Every Day For 5 Years. This Is What Happened…
What happens if you send an email every single day for over 10 years?
People think it’s crazy. They say you’ll burn out, annoy everyone, or run out of things to say. But I did it anyway, seven days a week, no breaks, and the results shocked me.
I made millions. Built a loyal audience. And turned email into my biggest growth engine.
But more than that? People missed my emails when I skipped a day. They felt like they knew me. And that changed everything.
Here’s what really happens when you commit to showing up in someone’s inbox every single day.

Before we get started with today’s episode, we’ve put a little something together for you.
It's really cool and it's FREE (yes, it's cool and free – we're nice like that).

The Rule That Changed Everything: Permission to Show Up Daily
Before any magic happened, I had to give myself permission. That’s where it all started. Permission to email daily. Permission to be bold. Permission to say, “This is my list. I’ll use it my way.”
I did it by setting expectations from day one. When people joined my list, they were told up front: you're going to get an email every single day. Not just fluffy updates, but daily ideas, tips, and tactics, all meant to improve whatever I was helping them with.
Whether it was email marketing, weight loss, or getting more gigs as an entertainer, the deal was clear. And people opted in anyway.
B2B or B2C? It Works Across the Board
This isn’t just a strategy for small business owners or influencers. One of my clients is a massive tech company selling $20k to $100k projects to C-suite executives. And yes, daily emails work for them too.
Daily doesn’t mean casual. It means consistent.
The Day the Emails Stopped… And People Freaked Out
Once, I missed a day. I was flying back from a speaking gig in Las Vegas, long flights, delays, and time zones. No email went out. And people noticed. They complained.
Not because they were annoyed, but because I had become part of their routine. Like coffee in the morning, they missed me when I wasn’t in their inbox.
That’s when I realized: daily emails aren’t annoying, they’re a habit. For me, and for the reader.
From 40% to 80%: How Daily Emails Skyrocketed Open Rates
Most people are thrilled with a 30 – 40% open rate. But that also means 60% of their list never hears from them that week.
When I started emailing daily, everything changed. Over 80% of my list now opens at least one email a week. That’s massive. More eyes on your message. More chances to make an impact.
Typos? Who Cares. Just Hit Send.
I’m dyslexic. That means typos happen. And honestly? Nobody cared. The point was never perfection. It was consistency. Connection. Showing up.
And with tools like ChatGPT or any good spellchecker, even that part is easier now.
The Power of Being Real: From Cats to Curries
When you email daily, your real life shows up, whether you plan it or not. People started mentioning my cats. They remembered little stories I’d barely remembered writing, like when my mom came over and we had curry.
This wasn’t just marketing. This was a real connection. People felt like they knew me.
Why Reality TV is the Perfect Email Metaphor
Think about reality shows. They’re messy, raw, and real, and that’s what makes them addictive.
That’s the energy I bring to my daily emails. I write them in real-time. I don’t batch them (unless I’m traveling). I show up as I am, whatever mood I’m in.
Some days, I’m cheerful. Some days, I rant. Some days, I’m vulnerable. And that emotional journey is what draws people in.

The Top 10 Books To 'Power Up' Your Email Marketing
10 book recommendations that will improve all areas of your email marketing (including some underground treasures that we stumbled upon which have been game-changing for us).
Know What You’ll Share, And What You Won’t
Boundaries matter. I don’t do toilet humor. I didn’t write about my dad being seriously ill until after the fact. I decided what’s private and what’s public. You can too.
Just because you email daily doesn’t mean you have to spill everything. Choose your topics. Set your line. Keep your balance.
Re-Engagement Superpower: Spot Who’s Disengaged Instantly
Here’s a practical win. Daily emails make it easy to spot who’s disengaged.
If someone hasn’t opened an email in 30 days, and you’ve sent 30 emails, it’s clear they’re checked out. You can trigger a re-engagement campaign and try to bring them back.
If you only email once a week, it takes 30 weeks to see the same pattern. That’s too long. They’re probably gone by then.
The Messaging Hack That No One Talks About
Here’s the secret to sharp, relevant messaging: repetition.
By emailing daily, I get 365 tries a year to get the message right. Most people only get 52.
Every day, I can test a new hook, a new angle, a new story. If something hits? I reuse it in sales pages, in webinars, and in content. That daily rhythm sharpens your message faster than anything else.
Want to Try This? Here’s How
Yes, people will unsubscribe. Let them.
The ones who stay? They’re your people. They want what you’re offering. They trust you. They connect with you.
Want to try it? Start small. Tell your list: “Hey, I’m testing something new. I’ll send you one useful tip every day this month to help you [insert transformation].” That’s it. See what happens.
Conclusion: Daily Emails Changed Everything. They Can Change Everything For You Too.
Sending an email every day isn’t just about selling. It’s about showing up. It’s about being real. It’s about building something that lasts, one subject line at a time.
I did it for over a decade. I’ve seen complaints turn into compliments, strangers turn into superfans, and emails turn into income.
And I promise, if you give it a shot, you’ll be amazed at what can happen.
